Greetings Sir Knight,

March is often characterized as “coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb”.  But these are actually Scriptural allusions. In the Revelation of St. John, he writes
“the Lion of Judah… can open the scroll and its seven seals. And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders, I saw a lamb standing, as though it had been slain…”(5:5:-6).  This is a glimpse from heaven of the Lamb of God, slain for the salvation of the world, is a reminder to us, during this season of Lent, that we are on a pilgrimage of penitence that will lead us to Mount Calvary and to an empty tomb.  On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord from the dead. I hope many of you can join us for this glorious celebration at the Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, VA, when we will join with the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar. Information on this glorious weekend accompanies this article.

We are in the final two months of the KT Eye Foundation campaign. So far, Pennsylvania ranks 2nd in the country in giving. Let’s do our best to keep that position and give generously to our great charity.

Don’t forget to take the opportunity to recognize those Sir Knights who have provided support, leadership and guidance, by awarding them the Illustrious Knight of the Triangle. I strongly encourage each Commandery to bring honor to themselves and those Sir Knights by fully participating in this Awards Program. If you have not yet taken that opportunity, do so now, so that those Sir Knights can be given their recognition in timely fashion. S.K. Lawrence Breletic, REPGC GT, and Chairman has supplied each Commandery with the forms you need. These forms are available on the Grand Commandery web site as well.

Information concerning the Annual Conclave of Grand Commandery will soon be forthcoming. I look forward to greeting many of you there.

Sir Knight William D. Hartman
Right Eminent Grand Commander
