October Message

 Sir Knights and Ladies:

Fall has definitely arrived and what a beautiful time of the year.  It is one of my favorites as I thoroughly enjoy all the splendid colors.  Our Templar year is in full swing and as Knights Templars we are obligated to uphold our traditions of learning our ritual and conferring the orders on new members.  For sure this is what it’s about, is it not?  Membership – Membership and oh yes, involvement.  We have about 7000 Sir Knights in Pennsylvania and 64 Commanderies.  With 10-15 percent participation, one has to wonder why the other 6000 Sir Knights are not participating.  I truly believe if the Commandery Officers are providing good programs, using an active calling program repeatable every month and encouraging attendance and involvement, our Commanderies will thrive.  Make the commitment.  Let’s make Templary proud.

All line officers (green straps) should now be enrolled in the Line officers Seminar to be held November 9-10, 2007 in Elizabethtown.  Are you going?  This is where it’s happening.  The only cost to you will be your transportation to and from Elizabethtown.  The Grand Officers and I are looking forward to greeting you and sharing in this rich learning experience.  Your attendance and the support to your own Commandery will be vital to all Templary.
